If you still have a Twitter account, you can use it to build and grow your audience.
The audience is the people that followed you based on the content you create every day. The bigger your audience the better your reach.
You can use the audience for many reasons: make it easy to find good people to hire for your company, to sell products or courses, spread your ideas, to find new jobs, and so on.
Your audience can be your hiring and sales funnel.
Time
When you post something it influences how many people are active, and how many will interact/engage with your tweet
Most of the time it will be during the day of your audience. I try to overlap Brazil and the US timezone.
Content
A Tweet with just a text provides a weaker context and therefore will not be fully understood by everybody.
To improve the engagement of your tweets, you can use visual stimulation, like images and gifs.
Links with social media preview also improve engagement.
Threads help you to provide info that wouldn't fit in a single tweet or a list of things you wanna share. It could also be a short blog.
Tagging an account could also increase your reach, specially if that account tagged has a lot of followers.
Asking questions is good to get many replies.
Sharing
Send it to friends, and ask for retweets to improve your reach.
Remember, only posting on Twitter could not be enough, try to post in other communities: slack, discord, Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups, telegram, and so on.
Audience and consistency
Tweeting about other topics not related to the audience you want to reach could give you some unfollows, like tweeting about politics.
However, I don’t care about this, as I am not only a tech content creator.
Bookmark
The number of tweets of a given day could be overwhelming, I recommend you to bookmark some tweets during the day to read them afterwards.
Why
Why use Twitter after all?
Twitter is the social network for your mind, where you share your ideas/projects and thoughts.
The basic block of Twitter is a tweet that has a short limit of the text so you need to provide the essence of what you are trying to say, like tl;dr;
Many great people are there: presidents, great developers, book writers, VCs, startup people.
You can use it to learn from all these people.
