I'm always optimizing our workflow to avoid waiting for things to finish. I try to make lint, tests, CI, build and rebuild of code so we don’t have to wait and have a fast feedback loop.
However when I have to wait for something to finish or for someone. I like to scroll on twitter, hacker news, and other content websites. I want to find great content, but I don’t want to read them right away. A defer reading of them to a later time, I usually use twitter bookmarks, send the links in my Evernote, or use GetPocket to read later on when I’m offline.
I do this because I need to focus to achieve deep reading. I also like to do annotation, rephrase ideas, combine with other ideas, and expand on them.
